We would like you to please read all our terms and conditions so that you are fully aware of our rights when booking your hair and/or makeup service. Using this website (www.makeupbylucy.com) and booking with us signifies that you agree to our terms and conditions.

All contracts/dealings between Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup (ABN 56 196 088 241) and any person (‘Customer’) relating to any goods or services provided and supplied by Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup to the Customer through the website makeupbylucy.com (‘Website’) are subject to the terms and conditions of trade set out below (‘these Terms’).

By using the Website, the Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms.

Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup has the right to remove or vary these Terms at any time without notice. It is the Customer’s responsibility to be aware of any changes made to these Terms and by continuing to use and visit the Website the Customer agrees to be governed by these Terms and Conditions.

Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup reserves the right to withdraw the Services without notice and will NOT be liable (if for any reason) the Website is unavailable during any period.

 Please Note: Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup may restrict access to the Website without notice at any time.

 PRIVACY POLICY

 INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM CUSTOMERS - In order to provide better service to our valued customers, Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup may request personal details such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address. If you choose to withhold requested personal information, Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup may not be able to provide you with the customer service you require should that depend on the collection of that information, particularly if the collection of that information is required by law.

 Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup will not sell or disclose the Customers personal information/details to any third party without the customers consent unless in the purpose of purchase/deposit/delivery or if necessary, to comply with laws, investigations or legal proceedings.

 PROPERTY

All content made available to the customer via the Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup Website is property of Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup. The customer can view, download, copy and/or print the images accessible on the Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup Website for personal use only and may NOT be altered in anyway.

The customer is not permitted to alter or re-produce the images on the Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup Website in any manner without permission from Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup.

The customer may NOT remove any trademarks made by Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup on any images, campaigns or marketing materials.

 PAYMENT OPTIONS

Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup accepts Cash, Mastercard, Visa and Direct Debit. (Eftpos Facilities Available)

All prices are in Australian Dollars and do not include GST. Invoices are sent to your desired email address once booking is confirmed and can be paid online.

Please note there is a minimum freelance charge of $350.00 for all special Occasion & Bridal weekend bookings.

BRIDAL DEPOSITS

A 50% Deposit for any service with Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup is non-refundable where there has been any partial/full cancellation made within the 4-month period leading up to the booking/wedding date and is required when any hair and/or makeup booking is requested. For your appointment to be confirmed and the date held, your deposit must be placed. An invoice will be sent out to your desired email address. Once your deposit has been processed, a second invoice will be sent with your remaining balance owing. All monies must be paid in full before day of service.

GENERAL BOOKING DEPOSITS:

A 50% Deposit for any service with Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup is non-refundable where cancellation is made after the 4 week cancellation notice period leading up to the booking date and is required when any hair and/or makeup booking is requested. For your appointment to be confirmed and the date held, your deposit must be placed. Once your deposit has been processed your final payment will be made via cash or eftpos on the day of the appointment.

BRIDAL REFUNDS:
Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup does not offer refunds for any completed services; therefore, if you are in any way dissatisfied, the onus is on the client to notify the artist(s) whilst on location.

The onus is on the client to ensure they check availability, book in by requesting the appointment and paying the security deposit to avoid disappointment.

​The security deposit is strictly non-refundable. There are no refunds of any monies paid toward any bookings where there has been any partial/full cancellation made within the 4-month period leading up to the booking/wedding date.

GENENERAL BOOKING REFUNDS:

Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup does not offer refunds for any completed services; therefore, if you are in any way dissatisfied, the onus is on the client to notify the artist(s) whilst on location.

The security deposit is strictly non-refundable. There are no refunds of any monies paid toward any bookings where there has been any partial/full cancellation made within the 4-week period leading up to the booking date.

BRIDAL CANCELLATIONS:
Please confirm your numbers carefully at the time of your booking, as we don’t offer any reductions at any time for hair and makeup services. Should someone in your wedding/group booking cancel at any time they are welcome to be replaced with someone else, e.g. a guest or relative.

​You will be charged the full amount of the service since the booking duration on the requested date has been specifically allocated to you which results in lost earnings/bookings for us. It is your responsibility as the client to communicate and make the other parties aware of our rates and terms of service. Cancellations without the aforementioned prior notice (4 months) will be charged the full cost of the booking. All security deposits are strictly non-refundable. This also applies to weddings/events that have been cancelled due to change of mind, personal relationship or personal financial problems.

​Cancellation of any booking by you must be communicated in writing, by email or by phone and will only be confirmed upon receipt of this. The complete security deposit will be retained by us where there has been any partial/full cancellation made within the 4-month period leading up to the booking/wedding date, due to administration and loss of other bookings caused by allocating your appointment.

GENERAL CANCELLATIONS:

For any non-bridal bookings cancellations must be made at least 4 weeks prior to your appointment time. If you cancel your appointment after that time your 50% deposit will not be refunded. If you are no show your deposit will be lost and you will need to re-book your appointment.

 OPENING HOURS

Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup is a freelance business and hours vary week to week depending on bookings. A surcharge of 10% will incur if booking is earlier than 6:30am or later than 6:00pm on any day and will also apply on Sundays.

 Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup will inform you via Instagram or Facebook if makeup services are unavailable for any other days or times. 

Please Note: These Public Holidays can be booked if required however a surcharge of $100.00 will incur. 

 TRAVEL CHARGES

A minimum freelance fee of $25.00 applies, 

Toll charges & Parking fees may also apply.

Touch up services (after the ceremony / before photos) can be added with a $100 per hour fee. Alternatively, an exclusive wedding day rate can be tailored for your needs.

 PRICE LIST

Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup has the right to change any price at any time without notice to the customer, unless the customer has placed an order at a stipulated price (then the alteration in price is not applicable) When booking any service with Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup, the customer agrees to these prices.

 ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Lucy Carter Hair & Makeup has delegated timings for each person which is emailed when bookings are confirmed. Please note: If, with no fault to Lucy or her team, run behind the scheduled time more than 30 mins, there are additional overtime charges of $30 per half hour. This will be added to your invoice. 

If you request a second makeup artist, there is a minimum fee of $150.00 however this may be greater depending on distance required to travel. This cost will be confirmed prior to the confirmation of your booking once location is determined.
